this. Along with the duration of the CA course, here we will discuss about what
is a CA course, how to do it, what are the qualifications required for it, how
much is its fee, etc.
What is CA?
The full name of CA is Chartered Accountant, whose job is to
prepare financial accounts, give financial advice, analyze audit accounts and
do tax related work.
The account of payment of tax is also the responsibility of
the CA. This is a very good post. The status of any accountant is equal to that
of a successful doctor or engineer.
The only thing CA course is a prestigious career option,
many students dream of becoming a CA, but many students have this thing in
their mind that it is a very big and difficult course which takes a long time
to do. .
But in reality it is not that it will take more time to pass
the CA course than any other professional course.
Yes, being tough, the time to crack CA increases when you
have to attempt more than once.
What is the duration of CA course?
Actually, how much time will take you to complete the CA
course, it depends on when you do the CA course.
Meaning you can do CA course even after completing 12th or
you can do CA course even after completing graduation.
If you do CA after 12th, then you take more time, while
doing it after graduation reduces the time duration.
During CA course comes CA foundation then CA intermediate
followed by articleship training and then CA final.
Their duration changes during CA after 12th and then after
graduation.
Overall, after 12th, CA is a 5 year course and after
graduation it is usually 3 years or somewhere 4 years.
Duration of CA Course after 12th
After 12th if you want to do CA course, then you first take
4 months for CA foundation, while it will take 2 months after the exam to get
the result of CA foundation.
It takes you 8 months to study for CA Intermediate, after
that the time between Intermediate exam and result also takes 2-3 months
including the time of ITT and OT.
After that articleship training has to be taken in this
course for 3 years.
You can apply for CA final with 6 months remaining of
articleship. In this way after adding full time it takes 4.5-5 years for CA
after 12th.
This is the time when you clear the Foundation Intermediate
and Final exam in a single attempt.
For students who are unable to clear these exams in a single
attempt, the duration of the CA course increases by 6 months for each attempt.
Duration of CA Course after Graduation
If you want to study CA course after completing graduation
then you will definitely take less time than after 12th.
After graduation, in CA course, students take 4 weeks i.e. 1
month for ITT and OT program.
Those students who have cleared the Intermediate exam of
ICWA and ICSI can directly apply for CA Intermediate without clearing the CA
Foundation exam.
8 months for Intermediate and after that for all students
coming by direct recruitment the process remains same as for normal students.
Before the CA Intermediate exam, students have to undergo 9
months of articleship training, and with 6 months of articleship remaining,
they can appear for the CA final exam.
Overall it takes 3 years for this. In this way, if you are
successful in all the important exams in one go, then after graduation you can
complete your CA course in 3 years also.
Eligibility for CA Course
In eligibility for CA course, if you want to do it after
12th then you must have passed with at least 50% marks from commerce stream, if
not commerce stream then you should have at least 60% marks.
After graduation, the qualification for this should be at
least 55% marks from commerce stream (any subject of commerce) and at least 60%
marks after graduation in any other subject.
